about

9/11 is an album that takes the listener on a journey into the heart of "Amerika," a very real dystopia riddled with intolerance, hatred, and deep skepticism for the future. The album captures a unique perspective on the hatred toward brown people, the racism and intolerance that followed the fateful attacks on that infamous day, and alludes to the Domestic-borne Conspiracy that supported the operation from within the walled kingdom of "Amerika" rather than from outside its parapets. The songs themselves, droning and meditative, poetic in their exhortation yet gently introspective, are a confession of an immigrant from East Africa torn between the promise of the American Dream and the intolerance of a nation that promised--yet failed--to safely harbor him. 9/11 is the defining musical indictment of the "Amerika" that emerged in the aftermath of September 11th, 2001, and the new realm in which we live.
